Funding

There are a number of funding bodies.......

From whom it is possible to obtain assistance. Please note the list of websites below, these will help in your enquiries.

Perhaps the most significant funding body in the country is Learning Through Landscapes (01962 845811). They are a registered charity and also provide expert information on school grounds development. LTL are providing funding under the ‘Supergrounds’ initiative alongside the Nat West Bank and others.

Your local branch of Groundworks may be able to assist you in your search. Again, they are a government funded charity. They are also involved in ‘Supergrounds’.

If you are willing to open up your sports facilities to the wider community (scout groups etc.) you may be eligible for a Sports Council grant. This would help you with funding your court markings such as football and netball.

Your local council will also often have schemes running for school grounds projects. Recently in London, we were able to secure several thousand pounds worth of funding for a school we were working with, from the ‘Seed Challenge’ fund. While this scheme has finished it is worth while calling your local authority for their current funding opportunities.

Finally, if you still need assistance, there is a new financing facility soon to become available. SME Eurofinance Group Plc are investigating ‘funding schemes for education’. Contact Sanjay at www.scemes.com (020 85013570). ‘Sceme’ is looking to provide financing opportunities for schools.

Good luck in your search. We hope you are successful.
